Terms of Service

Last updated 9 July 2026.

These terms govern use of SectorAI (the "Service"), provided by Sector AI, of 10 Edgehill, NE20 9RN (accounts@sectorai.co.uk) ("SectorAI", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you ("you", "your business") agree to these terms. If you're signing up on behalf of a business, you're confirming you have the authority to bind that business to this agreement.

1. What the Service is

SectorAI reads invoices, quotes, contracts, and other business documents you upload, extracts the relevant data using AI, and turns it into financial tracking, reporting, and answers to questions about your own business data. It's built for construction and several other industries.

2. Accounts

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information when signing up and keep your billing details current. One workspace is intended for one business — the workspace owner can invite team members with appropriate access.

3. Subscriptions, trials, and billing

Plans are billed monthly or annually in advance, in GBP, via Stripe. New subscriptions include a 14-day free trial; a valid card is required to start the trial so your workspace continues uninterrupted afterward. Cancel any time before the trial ends and you won't be charged. After the trial (or immediately for any plan taken without a trial), your card is charged automatically each billing period until you cancel. Each plan has monthly usage limits (documents, invoices, AI questions) shown on the Pricing page and in your account's Billing section — exceeding them may require an upgrade to continue that month's usage.

You can cancel at any time from the Billing page. Cancelling stops future charges; we don't provide refunds for the current billing period already paid, except where required by law.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to upload documents you don't have the right to process, attempt to breach other customers' data (each workspace's data is isolated from every other), reverse-engineer the Service, or use it in any way that violates applicable law.

5. AI-generated content is not professional advice

The Service uses AI to extract data, generate summaries, flag anomalies, and answer questions. This is provided to help you understand your own numbers faster — it is not financial, legal, tax, or accounting advice, and shouldn't be relied on as a substitute for a qualified professional. Contract risk reviews, for example, are explicitly a first pass to flag what's worth a solicitor's attention, not a legal opinion. You remain responsible for decisions made using information from the Service.

6. Your data

You own the documents and data you upload. We process it to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export your data or permanently delete your workspace at any time from Settings → Data & Privacy.

7. Third-party integrations

If you connect an optional third-party accounting service (currently Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks Online), you're authorising SectorAI to exchange data with that service on your behalf, subject to that provider's own terms. If you set up an outbound webhook (for example, to Zapier) in Settings → Integrations, you're directing SectorAI to send the event data you select to a URL you provide. Disconnecting or removing any of these is available at any time from Settings → Integrations.

8. Service availability

We aim for reliable uptime but don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend access temporarily for maintenance, or permanently if these terms are breached.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SectorAI isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from use of the Service, including decisions made based on AI-generated output. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud, or anything else that can't be excluded by law.

10. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time; material changes will be communicated by email or in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
